Les surtensions et les chutes de tension peuvent \u00eatre caus\u00e9es par des fluctuations dans la demande d&rsquo;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9, des pannes d&rsquo;\u00e9quipement, des temp\u00eates et des \u00e9clairs, ou des probl\u00e8mes de distribution de l&rsquo;\u00e9nergie \u00e9lectrique. Ces probl\u00e8mes peuvent endommager les \u00e9quipements \u00e9lectriques et \u00e9lectroniques, tels que les appareils \u00e9lectrom\u00e9nagers, les ordinateurs et les appareils de communication.<br \/>Enfin, Le co\u00fbts \u00e9lev\u00e9 de l&rsquo;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 en raison de la d\u00e9pendance de l&rsquo;\u00eele aux sources d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie import\u00e9es, peuvent rendre difficile pour les r\u00e9sidents et les entreprises de maintenir leur consommation d&rsquo;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 \u00e0 un niveau abordable.<br \/>De plus, les infrastructures \u00e9lectriques de Saint-Barth\u00e9lemy ne sont pas n\u00e9cessairement durables et peuvent \u00eatre vuln\u00e9rables aux changements climatiques et aux catastrophes naturelles.
